Welsh Third Sector Partnerships COVID-19 Volunteer Support Funding

A £4 million national funding programme is accepting applications from partnerships of third sector organisations and public bodies in Wales that are providing vital support during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and recovery.

The Coronavirus Recovery Grant for Volunteering fund is intended to help third sector organisations continue their current COVID-19 response work, and to improve or introduce new systems and support arrangements, complementing existing infrastructure, to ensure more sustainable models of volunteering.

Applications will be accepted from partnerships led by public bodies or third sector organisations (primarily County Voluntary Councils, Local Authorities and Local Health Boards).

If the lead applicant is a third sector organisation, the partnership must include at least one public body.

If the lead applicant is a public body, the partnership must include at least one third sector organisation.

Eligible projects and activities include:

Developing volunteering infrastructure.

Mapping out volunteering in a particular area.

Investing in skills and training to aid planning and resilience in communities.

Partnerships must present a summary of their project and indicative costs to inform Welsh Government’s decision on progressing an expression of interest to the full application stage.

The deadline for applications is 18 December 2020.
