Transport for Wales Business Accelerator Invites Applications
The Transport for Wales Innovation programme is designed to develop new and innovative solutions, products and services to be implemented across Transport for Wales Rail to improve customer experience and business efficiency.
The 11-week accelerator consists of workshops, stakeholder 1-2-1s, mentoring, networking opportunities with key rail executives and access to a range of resources and knowledge from across the rail and transport sector.
At the end of the 11 weeks, all businesses taking part will present their MVP (Minimal Viable Product) on demo day, with the goal of securing a contract with Transport for Wales Rail. Successful candidates will then have the financial security and access to resources needed to continue development of their product or service to integrate across Transport for Wales.
Entrepreneurs, start-ups and scale-ups that have a product or idea that can benefit the rail sector may be eligible. Through the programme, they will have a chance to:
Secure a contract of work with TfWR.
Secure funding to support the development of their solution.
Grow and scale their start-up business.
Win a share of £15,000 to spend however they choose, to help their business.
The programme will be delivered virtually, meaning applicants can take part from their home or own office space. The remote programme launches on Wednesday 29 July 2020.
The deadline for applications is 3 July 2020.
