Transitional Labelling Financial Assistance Scheme
Closing Date: –
As part of the Government’s commitment to support businesses to meet new labelling requirements, which are part of the Northern Ireland Retail Movement Scheme, the Government is providing £50 million for traders in Great Britain.
The UK Government is providing £50 million of extra support for businesses that have had to prepare for new labelling rules as a part of the Windsor Framework. The Framework aims to provide a long-term, stable solution for the smooth flow of goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The Transitional Labelling Financial Assistance Scheme will offer retrospective grants at a flat rate adjusted by business size for businesses that can evidence additional labelling costs related to the new Windsor Framework rules.
The Scheme is designed to support businesses registered on the Northern Ireland Retail Movement Scheme (NIRMS) comply with the Oct 1 labelling requirements.
Support for businesses moving goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland will remain in place as further trade improvements under the Windsor Framework are introduced.
