Support for Groups in Scotland to #KeepThePromsie

Public and third sector organisations in Scotland working with children, young people, and families within the care system can apply for funding to promote new ways of working and address key challenges in delivering The Promise.

Corra Foundation is offering grants of up to £250,000 over two years for organisations in Scotland that support children, young people, and families with the care system. The Keep the Promise Fund is provided by the Scottish Government to support commitments to #KeepThePromise and the national objectives of Plan 21-24 to ensure that all children and young people in Scotland grow up feeling loved, safe, and respected.

In this round, the fund is informed by The Promise Oversight Board Report, which identified areas where progress has been made in previous years and highlights challenges that have limited progress. A total of £12 million is available for projects that focus on three key areas where critical challenges are being faced in the drive to deliver The Promise:

  • A supportive workforce.
  • Supportive school structure (Right to Education).
  • Youth justice and rights.

Funding is targeted at organisations that are already implementing The Promise and can use their knowledge and skills to put new and innovative solutions into action.

The fund will support the creation of pioneering opportunities and capacity development across an organisation or collaboration, including backfilling posts, salary costs, staff development, or external expertise and evaluation.

The deadline for applications is 16 September 2022.
