Start-up Funding and Net Zero Support for Social Enterprises in Wales

A new national funding programme is inviting Expressions of Interest.

Funding is available to start-up social enterprises in Wales to support them in getting their business off the ground, while at the same time embedding climate friendly practices.

The new pilot fund has a total value of £150,000 and will support 12 social enterprises over two funding rounds.

The pilot is designed to offer financial and technical support to:

  • Help budding (or ‘start-up’) social enterprises to get their business ready for trading or investment.
  • Embed climate friendly practices into start-up social enterprises from the outset.

The purpose of the pilot is to address both of the issues above, and to help establish if the support can make a difference in producing exemplar start-up businesses across a range of different product or service providers within the voluntary sector in Wales.

Grants of up to £12,500 are available.

The round one deadline for Expressions of Interest is 11.59pm on 3 March 2022.
