Scottish Government – Voluntary Throughcare Grant Fund

One grant is available to a partnership of third sector organisations to enable the creation of a single national partnership of voluntary organisations working throughout Scotland to support people leaving prison after short sentences or a period being held on remand.
The Fund is intended to establish a partnership of voluntary organisations that operate across Scotland to provide throughcare to those leaving prison after a short sentence (less than four years) or a period on remand.
Throughcare is defined for the purpose of the Fund as “The support people receive in prison, and once they leave, to help them (re)settle into the community”.
