Scottish Government Announces Tourism Omicron Business Support Fund

Grants are available to tourism businesses in Scotland that have been impacted due to the restrictions imposed as a result of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

The Tourism Omicron Business Support Fund is being delivered by VisitScotland on behalf of the Scottish Government.

Funding is intended to support tourism sector businesses in Scotland that have been previously ineligible for COVID-19 funding and have been impacted by the restrictions imposed to curb the spread of the Omicron variant.

The grant award is a single flat rate payment of £6,800.

Businesses operating in the following sectors in Scotland can apply: coach operators, day tour operators, hostels, inbound tour operators, marine/outdoor, visitor attractions.

Businesses must have been open and operating during the Omicron Disruption Period (8 December 2021 and 21 January 2022).

Applications open on 23 March 2022 and close on 30 March 2022 (17:00 BST).
