Northern Ireland’s Social Farming Capital Grant Scheme Opens for 2020

The Social Farming Capital Grant Scheme supports farmers who undertake farming activities and who are currently involved, or planning to be involved, in the provision of Social Farming services.

Grants are available to farmers in Northern Ireland to adapt their facilities and improve accessibility to contribute to a higher quality on-farm experience for service users and the farm enterprise.

Grants will be awarded from a minimum of £500 up to a maximum of £4,999. It is expected that the total costs of a project will not exceed £10,000.

The funds must be used to meet costs associated with capital equipment or the purchase and improvement of capital assets.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they can purchase capital equipment or make material adjustments to buildings (ensuring appropriate planning permission and statutory approvals are in place) and therefore complete the project within the timescales of the scheme.

The deadline for applications is 28 August 2020 (16:00 BST).
