National Highways Hazard Protection on Roads Accelerator Programme

Grants are available for UK registered small and medium-sized enterprises to support the development of innovative solutions to help protect road users and operators in England from causes of collisions and harm, including hazards.
The funding is intended to stimulate innovation in addressing road hazards, particularly those unforeseen by drivers. Across five challenge areas, the programme invites SMEs to develop innovative solutions in two stages:
- In the first stage, selected SMEs will work with National Highways and others to design trials.
- In the second stage, approximately five SMEs will be awarded funding to deliver their trials over a five-month period.
