Last Opportunity for Social Enterprises in England to Apply for COVID-19 Crisis Funding

Social enterprises in England that are supporting people at high health risk from COVID-19, and those supporting people facing increased social and economic challenges as a result of COVID-19 have one week to apply for crisis funding.

For the final round, the eligibility criteria for the Social Enterprise Support Fund have been widened and now organisations with an annual income of between £20,000 and £1.8 million can apply. To be eligible organisations must have been incorporated for at least a year and must have been financially stable before COVID-19. Applications are particularly welcome from organisations that are led by people from BAME backgrounds, people with disabilities, from the LGBTQ+ community or by people with lived experience of the issue they are seeking to resolve.

Organisations can apply for grants of between £10,000 and £300,000. However, applicants should note that as funding is very limited, most grants will be for between £10,000 and £50,000.

The funding can be used for two types of support:

Funding for activities supporting people and communities affected by COVID-19.

Helping organisations overcome any acute financial difficulties they are facing as result of the crisis.

The deadline for the final application round is 1pm on 17 September 2020.
