June Deadline for Welsh Filmmaker Support Programme
Each year, Ffilm Cymru supports Wales born or based filmmakers to make a cinematic calling card through the Beacons Short Film Fund.
Funding and support are available for emerging filmmakers from Wales to develop bold and unique voices, explore diverse forms of cinematic storytelling, and establish flourishing careers as feature filmmakers.
The applicant’s project should be a live action, animation, documentary, or hybrid film of up to 15 minutes in length.
Applications are accepted from Wales born or based filmmakers. This includes:
- Writer, director (or writer-director) and producer teams.
- Writer and director teams (or lone writer-directors) where no producer is currently attached.
Writers, directors and producers should have previously made at least one short film which was exhibited or broadcast publicly, and/or have a track record in creative leadership roles in a related medium (eg theatre, TV, moving image).
Awards of £5,000 to £15,000 are available.
The deadline for applications is 11 June 2021 (15:00 BST).
