Monthly payments are available for individuals, charities, faith groups, local community groups and businesses in the UK to volunteer accommodation to Ukrainians and their family members who are escaping their homeland due to the Russian invasion.
The Government is asking individuals, charities, community groups and businesses across the country to offer their support to people displaced from Ukraine and their immediate family member who need a route to safety.
Anyone who is in a position to help, who fulfils the sponsorship requirements and with a spare room or empty home, is urged to step forward and join the ‘Homes for Ukraine’ sponsorship scheme.
In return for providing accommodation for a minimum of six months, the Government is offering an optional ‘thank you’ payment of £350 per month to people who can accommodate one or more household (subject to the accommodation they have) for up to 12 months.
