Final Days for Scotland’s Struggling Tourism Groups to Access COVID-19 Relief Funds
Support is available for Scotland’s tourism organisations that are suffering in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
The VisitScotland Tourism Destination and Sector Support Fund provides financial help to tourism organisations that have lost income from tourism business membership subscriptions due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown.
Over £400,000 is available to applicants and interested groups. The ‘last resort’ fund will award up to 50% of membership subscription income that is unlikely to be received, due to coronavirus, but has been budgeted for in 2020.
The one-off fund is open to all groups in Scotland that have a membership base made up entirely or predominantly of tourism businesses, either covering a geographic area or specific industry sector.
The deadline for applications is 22 May 2020.
