Cheshire West and Chester – Climate Change Emergency Fund (with Crowdfunding)

Grants are available for not for profit organisations, charities, and voluntary and community groups who can raise their initial funding through a crowdfunding campaign to support projects tackling the climate change emergency in Cheshire West and Chester.

The funding is intended to support not for profit organisations, charities, and voluntary and community groups with local projects that reduce the borough’s carbon footprint in Cheshire West and Chester, with the aim of reducing to net zero by 2045 or earlier.

The outcomes of the fund are:

  • The borough produces less greenhouse gas.
  • Residents and businesses produce less greenhouse gas.
  • Improved access to alternative modes of transport such as buses, electric vehicles, cycling and walking.
  • More energy efficient homes and buildings.
  • Less waste and higher rates of recycling.
