Welsh Government’s Cultural Recovery Fund 3 Opens to New Applicants

The third round of Wales’ Cultural Recovery Fund has opened to applications from businesses and organisations that have not previously received support through the scheme.

The Welsh Government’s Cultural Recovery Fund Grant has been established to support Wales’ culture and arts sectors which are coping with a loss of revenue as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The scheme is designed to protect sustainable organisations in order to ensure the sector survives the crisis and remains vibrant, viable and sustainable.

The third round of the Fund is currently open, with businesses and organisations that have not previously received support now invited to apply.

This third round builds on the previous two phases of the Cultural Recovery Fund which have provided £93 million, supporting business, organisations and individuals in the key cultural sectors.

There are three levels of funding available:

  • Up to £5,000.
  • Up to £75,000.
  • Up to £250,000.

Impacted sectors, including music venues, heritage sites, event venues, suppliers and organisers, independent local museums, community and independent libraries, galleries and independent cinemas will qualify for support.

To be eligible, businesses must be based, operating or employing in Wales or have heritage assets located in Wales. They must have experienced a material impact of at least 50% reduced turnover between December 2021 and February 2022 compared to the same period in 2019/20.

The deadline for receipt of applications is 11 February 2022.
