Grants are available for grassroots football organisations in England to sustain football pitches already at a ‘good’ level and to enhance pitches that are either considered ‘poor’ or ‘basic’.
The Grass Pitch Maintenance Fund is provided by the Football Foundation, a partnership charity formed by the Premier League, the Football Association, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Sport England. The charity’s aim is ‘to transform lives and strengthen communities through the power of football’.
The Foundation provides funding for smaller capital projects to support grassroots football in England, improving the experience of playing football for everyone involved.
Objectives of Fund
The Maintenance Fund provides six-year tapered grants to help football clubs enhance or sustain the quality of their grass pitches.
