Grants to Ameliorate COVID-19 Pinch Among UK Theatre Workers

The Theatre Artists Fund has been set up to provide emergency support for theatre workers and freelancers across the UK who need urgent and critical financial support due to the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) on the theatre sector.

The aim is to provide short-term relief for those from underrepresented groups disproportionately affected by the crisis.

First launched on 6 July 2020, this fund has raised £3.5 million to date. If eligible, applicants can be considered for a one-off emergency grant of £1,000, which they can use towards living costs.

Various freelancer roles are eligible, including actors, directors, producers, choreographers, comedians, composers, dancers, magicians, set and scene designers, wardrobe professionals, make-up artists and puppet makers.

The next deadline for applications is Thursday 10 September (12:00 BST).
