Grants for North East Businesses to Grow Beyond COVID-19

Wednesday, 4 August, 2020

Open North Foundation is a new not-for-profit company dedicated to assisting the businesses and people of the North East to recover from the disruption caused by coronavirus (COVID-19). The Foundation aims to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds to offer grants to companies looking to grow and create high quality jobs.

Initially the organisation will offer grants ranging from £1,000 to £5,000 but this could be increased if the Foundation gets greater funding. As well as financial support, the Foundation is also looking to provide financial assistance, technical support and business advice to companies adversely affected by the pandemic.

Businesses operating in the North East of England may be eligible. Applicants should deliver long-term positive economic impact and create meaningful long-term employment to help lift the region’s economy.

There is currently no stated deadline for applications to be submitted.
