Facebook Offers Grants to London's COVID-hit Firms

Tuesday, 22 September, 2020

The Facebook Small Business Grants Programme has been set up to help small firms under threat of survival owing to the coronavirus pandemic. The scheme aims to help businesses that are experiencing disruptions in their cash flow as the global COVID-19 outbreak continues.

London-based businesses may apply for cash grants of £1,929 and £1,157 in ad credits.

The funding is intended to help in the following ways:

  • Covering operational costs.
  • Helping with rent costs.
  • Connecting with more customers.
  • Maintaining a strong workforce.

Those eligible to apply must be profit-making businesses with between 2 and 50 employees that have been operating for over a year. The businesses must have experienced challenges from COVID-19 and be located in one of the London Boroughs.

The deadline for applications is 1 October 2020 (17:00 BST).
