The Barrow Cadbury Trust, which specialises in migration issues and the migration sector, is distributing £5 million in funding from the National Lottery Communities Fund’s COVID-19 Response Programme for England.
The funding is intended to provide services and support for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants who are in need as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, or to help organisations overcome acute financial difficulties they are facing because of the pandemic.
This is short-term funding which be must spent within six months and by 19 April 2021 at the latest. The maximum grant available is £50,000- or three-months’ expenditure, whichever is less.
The grants can be used for a range of things, for example:
Applications will be accepted from charities, companies limited by guarantee or a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee registered in England with an income of between £10,000 and £1 million in their most recent year of operations.
The deadline for applications is 2 August 2020.
