The Arts Council of Wales' Cultural Recovery Fund has been set up to help arts organisations that have been significantly affected by coronavirus (COVID-19). The central purpose is to sustain organisations facing the threat of closure and help them to resume publicly accessible activity in 2021 and beyond.
The funding is split into two grants:
Arts Council of Wales is administering £25.5 million of revenue funding and £2 million of capital funding. Revenue grants of up to £3 million are available to support activities until March 2021. Capital grants of between £500 and £50,000 are available towards one‑off capital expenditure until March 2021.
The scheme is open to arts organisations based in Wales (profit, not-for-profit and public sector). The types of organisations eligible for support include theatres, arts centres, concert halls, galleries, organisations producing and touring arts activity and those providing participatory arts activity.
Applicants should be contributing to the cultural life of Wales by providing creative activities that people can enjoy and take part in.
Applications must be submitted by Wednesday 9 September 2020 (17:00 BST).
