WRAP Launches Non-household Municipal Waste Business Grant

The Non-household Municipal Waste Business Grant scheme is part of the £18 million Resource Action Fund, which has been established by the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP) to support resource efficiency projects, with the goal of diverting, reducing and better managing waste.

The grants will provide capital infrastructure to support an increase of non-household municipal (NHM) waste recycling in England. The aim is to encourage those organisations that either collect or facilitate collection of this waste to provide new or improved recycling services and operations that will increase the volume of NHM being recycled.

There is an additional aim of providing new infrastructure and better access to services targeting or benefitting small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

A finite budget of £1 million is available to fund grants ranging from £25,000 to £170,000.

WRAP is inviting businesses of any size to apply.

The deadline for stage one outline applications is 4 September 2019.
