An Introduction to European FundingAs competition for UK funding becomes fiercer, many - who have until now been able to manage without - are now considering European funding as a viable alternative. This course offers an introduction to the funding available directly from the European Commission. (Note, it does NOT cover structural funds managed by the UK government such as ERDF or ESF.) "An Introduction to European Funding" is an ideal initiation for anyone who is new to the workings of the EC and who is considering applying for the first time for funding direct from Europe. Training investment: An introductory rate of £195 plus VAT per person, which includes lunch and light refreshments during the day and covers the costs of course material.

Who is the course for and what will it offer?Staff in any organisation considering applying for EU funding beyond the UK administered structural funds will benefit from attending this course, including: local authorities; colleges and universities; housing associations; police forces; fire services; and the voluntary and community sectors. About the course provider:The course will be led by Ritchie Head. Ritchie was previously Director of a Regional Contact Point for FP6/7 where he built a team of 5 consultants, in the first 3 years of FP7 they supported over 120 proposals. Prior to this he worked as a Research Manager at TNO in the Netherlands, an independent research organisation with a 600 million euro annual turnover. He has also worked as a researcher for a Biotech SME in Iceland, and as a Research Assistant at two UK Universities on European Commission Framework Programme projects, following his PhD.
